R&D Software Programmer / Simulation Development Engineer

Salary:           £30-40k DOE
Location:       Exeter, UK
Duration:       Initial 12 months (possible permanent employment at the end of project)

We are looking for a talented software engineer to join our dynamic software development team. You will be responsible for developing high performance interactive 3D image processing and simulation tools that will be used by the top universities, research groups and blue-chip companies world-wide. This varied role will involve both the refinement of existing software and helping to bring new features from initial concept through to product release.

Knowledge, experience, skills, and competencies

Principal selection criteria:

• Graduate in Computer Science or Engineering
• Very good knowledge and experience of C++
• Strong mathematics and algorithm development background
• Good English
• Self-motivated and able to work on own initiative whilst being a team player
• Ability to work in a flexible environment

Desirable:

• Knowledge of Linux would be a plus
• Knowledge of VTK, ITK, wxWidgets, Visual C++ would be very appreciated (ideal candidate)
