Corporate Partnerships

Simpleware's partnerships guarantee continued integration with independent software and hardware tools, improved software functionality, and better services. Together with our partners we are working to provide the best products for your scanning, mesh generation, and analysis needs.

Software Partners

Simpleware is establishing close partnerships with leading developers of FEA and CFD software solutions. These partnerships ensure continued compatibility between Simpleware's mesh generation tools and third party software.

Ansys logo

ANSYS, Inc., founded in 1970, develops and globally markets engineering simulation software and technologies widely used by engineers and designers across a broad spectrum of industries. The company focuses on the development of open and flexible solutions that enable users to analyze designs directly on the desktop, providing a common platform for fast, efficient and cost-conscious product development, from design concept to final-stage testing and validation. Acquired by ANSYS in 2006, Fluent is the world's largest provider of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software and consulting services.

Comsol logo

COMSOL provides software solutions for multiphysics modelling. The Company was founded in 1986 in Stockholm, Sweden, and has grown to include offices in the Benelux, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Switzerland, the UK, and a US presence with offices in Massachusetts and California. COMSOL Multiphysics® is a scientific-software environment for the modelling and simulation of any physics-based system. A particular strength is its ability to account for multiphysics phenomena. Optional modules add discipline-specific tools for chemical engineering, earth science, electro-magnetics, heat transfer, MEMS, and structural mechanics.

LS-DYNA logo

Oasys (Ove Arup SYStems), the software house of Arup, distributes the Finite Element software solver LS-DYNA in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
LS-Dyna is developed by Livermore Software Technology Corporation and is a general-purpose multiphysics simulation software package. Applications can be found in many fields and industries, including biomechanics, automotive and aerospace.

SIMULIA logo

SIMULIA is the Dassault Systèmes brand that delivers a scalable portfolio of Realistic Simulation solutions including the Abaqus product suite for Unified Finite Element Analysis, multiphysics solutions for insight into challenging engineering problems, and lifecycle management solutions for managing simulation data, processes, and intellectual property.
Headquartered in Providence, RI, USA, with R&D centers in Providence and in Suresnes, France, SIMULIA provides sales, services, and support through a global network of regional offices and distributors.

Service Partners

First Numerics logo

First Numerics, an engineering consultancy company with over 30 years experience in numerical techniques specialising in medical implants, modelling of biological tissue, and design assessment of medical devices.
Domains of application cover all industry and research sectors in which the simulation of the behaviour of biological tissues is of relevance.

x-at logo

X-at produces our selective laser sintered and laser melted RP models, which can be provided in either plastic or metal. X-at also provides a range of specialised services and has expertise in product design, manufacturing and testing.

Project Partners

Eden logo Exeter Uni logo

Simpleware has been assisting in the process of providing the Eden Project with some exhibits for its new Education Centre. Rapid prototyped models on the theme of Biomimicry have been developed from CT scan data to showcase the imitation of nature to develop scientific and engineering processes. The project is carried out as a result of a Partnerships for Public Awareness (PPA) grant, awarded to the University of Exeter by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).

NPL logo

A collaborative study led by the National Physics Laboratory (NPL) proposes to explore Pre-clinical assessment of bone strength and stability for the selection of load bearing medical implants. Other project partners contributing in this part-DTI funded "Studio" project include Stryker Howmedica Osteonics, CH Medical Ltd., Yale Systems Ltd., Abaqus UK Ltd., the Princess Elizabeth Orthopaedic Centre Exeter, and the University of Exeter. Further information on the project can be found on the project website, or download a short case study.

SlamFunc logo

Simpleware is part of the SLAMFunc group. SLAMFunc (Selective Laser Melting for Functionally graded material) is a DTI funded project to research the creation of functionally graded parts using Additive Layer Manufacturing (ALM). ALM, unlike traditional manufacturing processes, works by building up layers of material to form a net shape rather than staring with a solid block of material and removing what is not required. Manufacturing using ALM saves material and energy wastage but also offers the opportunity to make parts which blend from one material to another or which have different material properties throughout the same part.
