New Simpleware Training Centre at Jilin University

The College of Mechanical Science and Engineering at Jilin University and Simpleware sales partner Shanghai Gaitech Scientific Instruments Co. Ltd. (Gaitech) have recently signed an agreement to open the first Simpleware Software Training Centre in China. The training centre will be based at the Institute of Biomedical Engineering at Jilin University, and will be jointly run by Gaitech and the biomedical engineering group lead by Prof Gong He.

Prof Gong He on the new training centre: "Simpleware software is a world-class 3D data modelling tool which has been widely used in foreign countries. Now there are several domestic universities and research institutes which would like to purchase the software, and receive training and technical support locally. The new training centre will greatly enhance the Institute's research and teaching facilities, as well as strengthen the Chinese market potential in Mechanical Science and Engineering."

Gaitech's Technical Department Manager, Yang Lin, stresses that Gaitech "will not only provide the software but a full range of technical services, and be directly involved in research and training for biomedical engineering teachers and students at Jilin University and the surrounding area."

Both sides agreed that the partnership will become a model for school-enterprise cooperation.
