From Scan to Mesh in Minutes
With the ScanIP/+ScanFE software package, meshes can be generated from
3D data in a matter of minutes.
In most cases, conversion takes as little
as 10 minutes on a standard desktop PC.

Step 1:
Import 3D data into ScanIP
(image processing)
- Resample image if required
- Apply noise reduction filters etc.
- Segment image into different masks

Import ScanIP mask into
+ScanFE (FE mesh generation)
- Assign mesh parameters
- Define contact surfaces
- Define material properties
(e.g. Hounsfield -> Young’s modulus function)

- Apply loads and boundary conditions
